As a Senior Financial Advisor with Assante Financial Management Ltd., Scott Masters facilitates the delivery of insurance solutions for our clients’ more complex situations. These strategies are used to help mitigate risk, protect assets, ensure a smooth transfer of estate assets, and build the financial foundation for future generations.

Our team works closely together with Scott, and with the support of our overall wealth planning team, we determine an appropriate insurance solution to best meet our client’s objectives. Scott delivers a plan to our clients that addresses risk management, allowing a smooth transition of estate or business assets to the beneficiaries or surviving partners.

Starting his career in the financial services industry in 1999, Scott is now based in Calgary and services clients across Canada. His career in the financial services industry spans 20 years. Prior to aligning with Marda Loop Financial Group in 2016, Scott held various corporate positions within Assante Wealth Management in roles of increasing responsibilities, primarily leading and mentoring advisory practices across Canada as the Regional Vice-President, Business Development.

Scott is a CFP® (Chartered Financial Planner), FMA (Financial Management Advisor) and Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI), along with a Bachelor Degree (BPE) from the University of Manitoba.

When he isn’t working, you’ll find Scott coaching both of his sons’ hockey teams at the Joe Phillips Arena in Springbank, trying to maintain his single-digit handicap and spending time in his community with friends and family. Originally from the Village of Teulon, Manitoba (current population 1,201), Scott recently appreciated the opportunity to drive 1,358 km across Canada with his wife and two young sons, Tyler & Brayden, to participate in Teulon’s Centennial Homecoming Celebration.
